I have experience in shooting in the following genres:

  • Documentary

  • Live AV conferences

  • Corporate (events & promos)

  • Festivals

  • Events

  • Music video

I am also experienced in producing films and interviewing, however if this is required I will need a brief and time to research the subject/interviewee.

editor

My aim is to create an emotional response and make content that engages the viewer, starting with the story and message and building from there. As well as editing work that I have shot myself, I also edit for other clients with provided footage, this has recently included Wildscreen Festival: Orla O Doherty & James Cameron Interview Session, National Trust: Celebrating 10 Years Of Trust New Art, National Trust: New Junior Membership Launch video, Floating Harbour: Commissioning TV Series Pitch.

I am fully equipped with the latest hardware and software to edit projects remotely, but can also work in-house.

I've edited in a variety of genres including social, promo, editorial/documentary and time-lapse.

lockdown 1.0

During lockdown 1.0 I went on furlough. Through this period I enrolled in a colour grading/finishing course and learnt how to professionally grade in Davinci Resolve. This gave me what I needed to give my work that final polished look adjust settings recorded in production. Towards the end of furlough I was made redundant along with all the employees at Floating Harbour, though since I have carried out freelance work for them.

In Floating Harbour’s own words:

This is not a reflection of your performance - rather a consequence of recent events concerning Covid which has left our future pipeline of work too unstable to continue working as we were. Now that the government is withdrawing furlough support for businesses we have no choice but to move to a more freelance based model. The level of work that we have has severely dropped since lockdown in March and we are not able to support wages.

after

As mentioned above I have been doing bits of freelance work for Floating Harbour, but have also started some freelance work for a faux fur company in Devon, which is currently in the edit.

I have also been thinking about doing an MA in Narrative Storytelling, however this may not be for some time due to the Covid restrictions in Education.
