Brand Accurate
Colour accurate brand colours and products to the swatch number.
Making sure brand colours are consistent across platforms is important, especially when it’s a product for sale. The bottom right shows a photo of a scarf featured on a client’s website. Whilst keeping the look and feel I added overall video image, the scarf was isolated and colour matched to the website photo.
Feel
Emotion is everything. Bright and poppy, light and airy, dark and moody, warm and cosy, strong and dramatic.
‘We’ll fix it in post’
Making footage useable
‘We’ll fix it in post-production’ is a familiar joke amongst filmmakers. I believe that you should do everything you plan and take precautions to get the best shot during production, however sometimes varying factors such as time, light and budget can get the better of you and you have no choice but to fix it in post. Here’s a shot where I had to fix a few things in post…
